Life Group
Parenting is an adventure filled with joys and challenges. At Church of Ascension, we’re here to support you and your children on this journey. Our Elementary Life Group is designed to help kids from first through fifth grade develop spiritually, emotionally, and socially into all that God created them to be.
We partner with parents to lay a strong foundation of faith, teaching kids about Jesus’s love and how to live it out every day.
Nurturing Spiritual Growth
Our goal is to help your children understand the foundational principles of Christianity and develop a strong, personal relationship with Jesus.
Through engaging Bible stories, interactive lessons, and creative activities, we make learning about God’s word fun and relevant for their everyday lives.
Building Community
Friendship and fellowship are at the heart of our Elementary Life Group. We create a welcoming and inclusive environment where kids can make lasting friendships, learn to work together, and support one another.
Our group activities, from youth group meetings to Vacation Bible School, are designed to foster a sense of belonging and community among our young members.
Supporting Parents
We understand the importance of partnering with parents in their children’s spiritual education. Our programs and resources are designed to complement what you’re teaching at home, providing you with tools and support to raise God-honoring kids.
From parent seminars to family events, we’re here to walk alongside you.
Get Involved
Youth Group
Our fourth- and fifth-grade Youth Group is a fantastic way for your child to deepen their faith while having a great time with friends. Activities include service projects, fun outings, and fellowship. The group meets monthly, and we welcome new members year-round.
Journeys
Journeys is our Christian education program tailored for first through fifth graders. It begins after the children’s story during our 10 a.m. service, offering a dynamic and interactive way for kids to explore their faith.
Vacation Bible School
In partnership with local churches, we offer an annual Vacation Bible School, a week-long summer program filled with fun, faith, and friendship. It’s a highlight of the year and a great way for kids to learn about God in an energetic and engaging setting.
