Welcome to Ascension Day School in Clearwater, where we’ve been cherishing and nurturing children since 1967. Our mission is to provide a safe, loving environment that fosters the spiritual, academic, and social development of each child.
With a curriculum grounded in Christian faith and values, we’re dedicated to helping shape well-rounded individuals from the earliest years.
Our Philosophy
At Ascension Day School, we believe that early childhood education is the foundation for lifelong learning and growth. We integrate Christian teachings into our daily activities, helping children understand the love of Jesus Christ while fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
Programs Offered
Our Day School caters to toddlers with a range of program options to meet the needs of families:
- 2-day programs for ages 2-3
- 3-day programs for ages 2-3
- 5-day programs for ages 2-4
- FREE Florida VPK 5-day program for age 4
Classes run from August to May, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily, with options for full day, half day, and additional care to accommodate the schedules of busy families.

Enrichment Programs
To complement our core curriculum, we offer a variety of enrichment programs designed to engage and inspire our young learners:
- Chapel: Weekly sessions where children sing, pray, and learn Bible stories.
- Faith-Based Yoga: Introducing basic yoga practices within a Christian context.
- Gymnastics: Encouraging physical fitness and coordination.
- Music: Cultivating a love for music and expression.
- Seasonal Events: Celebrating the richness of the Christian calendar and various holidays.
Our Staff
Our dedicated teachers are the heart of Ascension Day School. All staff members are CPR and First Aid Certified, hold degrees in Early Childhood Education, and receive ongoing training from the Pinellas County Licensing Board. Their commitment is reflected in our low teacher turnover, ensuring a stable and loving environment for your child.
Parent Involvement
We believe in strong partnerships with parents and welcome your involvement and input. Our staff is always available to discuss your child’s progress and how we can work together to best support their development.
