What to Expect on Your First Visit
Visiting a new church involves discovering new traditions, meeting new people, and experiencing a new atmosphere of worship. At Church of Ascension, we strive to make this process as seamless and comfortable as possible. Below, we detail what you can expect during your first visit, from the variety of our services to the inclusivity of our community engagement.
Service Variety
We offer three distinct services each Sunday, catering to different preferences and worship styles:
- 8:00 AM Service: A quieter, reflective service ideal for early risers.
- 10:00 AM Service: A vibrant family service that includes our kids chapel, perfect for families with children.
- 5:00 PM Service: A contemporary service featuring lively music led by our praise band.
Dress Code
At Church of Ascension, you are encouraged to “come as you are.” Whether you prefer casual attire or your Sunday best, you will fit right in with our congregation. Comfort is key as we gather to worship and fellowship together.
Community Engagement
Engagement with our community is a cornerstone of our church life. We offer various groups and activities that are great ways to connect with other members and become involved. First-time visitors are especially encouraged to join in and experience the full warmth of our church community.
Children and Youth Programs
We provide a nurturing environment for children and youth to grow in their faith:
Nursery Care:
Available during the 8:00 AM service for the youngest among us.
Kids Chapel:
During the 10:00 AM service, children enjoy an engaging worship experience designed just for them, featuring videos, crafts, and interactive lessons.
After Your Visit
We’d love to connect with you after your visit. Feel free to provide feedback, ask questions, or express interest in further involvement. Our pastoral staff is readily available to discuss any spiritual questions or community-related inquiries.
Joining Our Community
Interested in making Church of Ascension your church home? We offer introductory sessions about our church’s history, beliefs, and the many ways you can get involved. These sessions are perfect for meeting other members and becoming part of our community.
